2020 Elf of the Year

Each year Santa’s Magic has the pleasure of presenting the Elf of the Year distinction to an individual who goes above and beyond to support the mission of Santa’s Magic. Santa’s Magic would like to congratulate Rosa Cashin as the Elf of the Year for 2020.

Rosa is always eager and enthused to support the mission of Santa’s Magic. Over the years, she has become a regular volunteering on Christmas morning at the hospitals and at the Social Nights at the VA.

Due to the pandemic, Christmas looked a lot different this year and unfortunately caused us to be restricted on Christmas visits. However even if Christmas looked different, Rosa was determined to still make it a meaningful Christmas for our Outreach families. Not only did she personally contact each family to explain the program and determine appropriate gifts, but she did the shopping and gift wrapping for each family member visited. She identified the family dinner requests, submitted the food orders and arranged the delivery times. Because of the predicted poor weather conditions on Christmas Day the Outreach Delivery was completed on Christmas Eve. Rosa arranged our travel schedule and family contacts and was part of the Outreach Team. Rosa truly was a driving force which not only made the Outreach a resounding success this year, but also made it such a meaningful Christmas for the recipients.
